Hiking in Kicking Horse Resort - Yoho National Park

We Drove to Golden, B.C. mainly to visit the Bear Refuge. But of course they would have a "tourist package", and we're weak enough to take it. Gondola, SkyLunch, and the Bear Refuge for $37/person. The food was good, and we saw Boo the bear. The Gondola was also being used by Mountain Bikers and the runs were quite busy at that time.

It was quite weird to ride a lift in tees and see mountain bikers down below instead of snowboarders.
So of course, most of the lifts I know don't go to the summit. The end of our lift was sure enough to be in between two higher peaks.

From the restaurant, we went for a half hour hike to the summit of Blue Heaven - 8033', the trail was mostly through a ski run. The view was wicked. 360 of flurried summits and green valleys.

After lunch, we went back to the base and took a quad, half way up the hill to visit the Bear Refuge. The grizzly's name here is Boo. His mother was apparently killed by a poacher and so some better people had to adopt and raise him so he would survive. He's 3 and a half years old. He's still quite young and small but if I see this size grizzly in the wild... honestly, I don't know what I would do.
