Hike Camp and Travel
Seokmodo Island

This trip is a part of the English Teacher's orientation. We went on a 10-minute ferry ride to Seokmodo Island and visited the Bomunsa Temple. On our way to the temple, we passed by a small market where the vendors greet tourists with free nuts. Some areas in the temple were off limits to visitors at that time... I didn't know. I got yelled at for banging the drum at one of the structures.
Make sure you go up the 419 stairs to see Ma-aebul - the stone wall Buddha... there's no yelling allowed up there.

Hi May I use this photo for memoirs I am writing for my children? I visited this area 50 years ago.
Thank you

Absolutely. I would prefer it if you link to the photos instead of copying it. If this is not possible for your purpose however, you may copy it instead.
Thank you for asking. - Eric - 2014/04/04 22:18:26 EDT
